If you didn’t already have a reason to read the Mighty Morphing Power Rangers comic, the new Power Ranger Sentry designs should grab your attention. Now here’s a bit of context to go along with the new looks. Tommy and Billy, the Green and Blue Rangers respectively, find themselves in a dark alternate universe that is currently wrought with war. Upon arrival, they are attacked by soldiers dressed as Black Rangers with all the same abilities. These aren’t Rangers themselves, but rather Sentries that have been bestowed with the power of the Rangers. In previous issues we’ve seen plenty of Mastodon sentries, but issue #13 gives us our first look at the Pterodactyl (pink), Sabertooth (yellow), and Tyranasourus (red) Sentries that are joining the fight. As for the Sentries of the Triceratops (blue) variety, there’s a story reason for why they haven’t been introduced that writer, Kyle Higgins, isn’t ready to divulge. He does note, however, the key difference between these Sentries and the real Rangers is that there are no Zords for the sentries to command, as most of them have been destroyed.
