I know I am a few days late with this (or a week and I apologize to the team and to those whom will read this), but here I am with my wrap-up of Nintendo’s E3 “event”? Now, for the fourth year in a row, Nintendo has foregone an E3 press conference, preferring to do in-house Nintendo Directs (the first one being a couple days before E3 2012, but that year, they also showed up at E3), but this one was different. One would likely expect them to discuss the games or accessories they have for us in the future, probably announce the NX officially, the release date of Pokémon Go, or more news on Sun & Moon, more of Zelda U? Only one of these things were announced and discussed, and that was Zelda U, which is Zelda: Breath of the Wild. It is a fully open Zelda game, and it’s so beautiful. They had a demo of it at E3, as well as a 30-minute Direct Presentation. I give this an A on their performance alone, but I still cannot help but think what would it be if Iwata were still alive, given he promised a very great E3 for the disappointment from last year, but unfortunately, he died last July, may he rest in peace. While our expectations were off, his death was not in vain; his promise was still fulfilled.
